Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Sumo Springs Maxim Rear Helper Springs on a 2013 Fleetwood Bounder Classic. Now adding these to your RV is really just gonna give you a much better ride overall. And having better handling, especially with something that's maintenance free is really great because every time you drive your RV, you're gonna notice the difference and the factory ride is, it feels top heavy on the suspension, you know, it doesn't really work a whole lot, and this is really just gonna supplement all that weight of our RV by going in between our leaf springs and mounting up to the frame, so this is gonna add extra cushion and these are made to absorb quite a bit. So those harsh bumps will be absorbed, but also heavier loads. These are progressive, so as you add weight, these are gonna fight back and give your suspension a fighting chance. They also help with sway side to side, because as you lean one side, these are gonna fight back, bringing the vehicle back to a nice flat plane and get your responsive steering back. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs on a 2013 Fleetwood Bounder Classic. Adding these to your front suspension is going to add a lot of added benefits, not just supporting weight, but also it's gonna allow for sway to be reduced, and it's gonna get a little bit more planted of a feel as you drive, meaning you're gonna get more steering feedback and it's gonna just have a little bit quicker steering response, and overall, it's gonna be a little bit more comfortable because this is gonna absorb a lot of that shock. Your factory jounce bumpers are pretty short. So for that to actually make contact, it takes quite a bit of pretty heavy hits on the road for that to even do anything where these engage pretty quickly. And that's the great part too is this two piece design allows for this to really open up. So your suspension is still able to move quite a bit without limiting the travel, but you get all the added benefit of that cushioning as well as the weight support. more

Hi, there's Fleetwood owners. Today in your 2016 Fleetwood Bounder, we're gonna be taking a look at it and showing you how to install SumoSprings for the rear axle. We're going to hit our test course before we put on our SumoSprings, just to get a baseline of how our suspension feels, we're also going to be using an inclinometer to give us a visual of how much sway and rock that we've got going on. Now you do want to keep in mind that this inclinometer is designed for off-road use, it's more for your Jeeps and it's designed to show extreme angle. So you kind of know where you're at, when you're going off-road in a rock climbing, but we still can use this to get an idea of how our suspension feels. And you just want to keep in mind that it's not really designed to pick up small movements, it's made for the major movements. more

SumoSprings Maxim Rear Axle Helper Springs Installation - 2017 Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome- Video

And this is what our SumoSpring looks like when it's installed. The upper bracket attaches to your frame and the lower bracket goes onto your leaf spring stack, so every time your suspension goes up and down, you're going to be getting support from your SumoSpring here. The Sumo spring is designed to compress up to 80% to provide assistance with your suspension system, and this is going to help with a lot of aspects of your suspension system. Speaker 1: Today in our 2007 Fleetwood Bounder, we're gonna be installing Air Lift's Lift Loader 5000 air helper springs, part number AL57140.This is what our air bags are gonna look like when they're installed. You'll get one for both the driver's side and passenger's side. It's going to mount between the frame of your vehicle and your front suspension here on your front axle.Here you can see our suspension with no air helper springs going over various terrains. And now you can see our suspension with our air bags installed, and now you'll notice that it's much more stable. There's not as much oscillation between our suspension and our frame, and overall, it's just a smoother ride.These air springs are gonna provide you with up to five thousand pounds of low bellowing support. This will reduce strain on your suspension and both improve safety and ride quality. more
